This week saw the release of New York based flutist Hadar Noiberg’s latest CD, Open Fields. This coming Wednesday Hadar and her trio will play at the Sunset Sunrise Jazz Club in Paris.

Hadar and her trio have been touring internationally since 2010 in the US, Canada, Brazil, Europe, Taiwan and Israel. Her new album “Open Fields” derives from Hadar’s Israeli roots and mixed with her worldwide influences she has created her own innovative style. The album features Eduardo Belo on Double bass, Amir Bar-Akiva on the drums and special guest, world renowned pianist, Chano Dominguez.

Hadar and her musicians are constantly pushing to find new ways of expression and communication and to go beyond the boundaries of their instruments – the flute becomes the harmonic and rhythmic instrument, the double bass becomes an equal melodic instrument and the drums wrap it all up with an array of sounds and earthy grooves. In fact the Hadar Noiberg trio has been described as a “Power Trio that destroys any pre-conceived notions the listener may have.”

Having seen Hadar and her Trio live at Jazzahead in 2016 we know this will be a concert not to missed.
