Contributing

Jazz in Europe is constantly looking to expand our pool of contributors. For this reason, we’re looking for contributors both regular and one-off to Jazz in Europe. If you have something to say that you feel is important to our readers, send us your article or article pitch. If it’s published you will have the joy of knowing you’ve reached an ever-growing readership of more than 50,000+ visitors each month that is passionate about Jazz, Blues and Soul music.

To submit your completed article or blog post to the Jazz in Europe team send your work via e-mail to info@jazzineurope.com. If accepted our team will publish your work at the agreed time. Please deliver full content in MS Word file format (including images). Also, make sure you attach the original images as separate files and include a complete list of links and credits. The submitting party is responsible for ensuring all relevant copyright clearances and licenses have been obtained.

The email address for sending your contributions (or any questions) is info@jazzineurope.com.

Before submitting please a take a minute or two to read our guidelines below:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We look for the following things in contributions:

Good command of the English Language – We understand that many of our contributors have English as a second language, for this reason, we reserve the right to edit your work to ensure correct grammar.

Web Writing – Writing on the web works best when it’s not too long, and makes use of lists and headings to break up the text.

Content is King – Our readers are interested in CD, digital and concert reviews, articles on musicians, festivals, jazz-related business issues or other topics relevant to the world and in particular the European jazz scene.

PLEASE BEAR IN MIND:

It is entirely up to the editor to select articles for publication. You can mail us with your pitch if you want to test out an idea. Otherwise, your article must be finished when submitting.

The article you submit is your original work and not published elsewhere. (Please credit all sources, assets and use common sense.)

Your article may be edited both prior to or after publishing.

IF YOUR ARTICLE IS PUBLISHED:

You grant an unlimited license to the Jazz In Europe Media (VOF) to be the publisher of the article online, in digital print and in print media form. You are free to republish extracts online – for example on your own site – however, the article in its entirety should not appear elsewhere unless previously agreed.

You consent to the article, extracts, samples or examples from it appearing in other Jazz In Europe Media (VOF) sites, products and services.
