George Benson announces 2018 UK Tour Dates.

In June 2018 George Benson will return to the UK for a series of concerts that will see him perform in major centers in the UK and Scotland including two concerts on the 26th and 27th of June in London’s Royal Albert Hall. Tickets for the Royal Albert Hall concerts go on sale Friday October 27th.

George Benson has been a leading light in the Jazz and popular music scene since the release in 1976 of the album ‘Breezin’ and the top selling single This Masquerade. The release of this album garnered Benson a great deal of attention in the jazz fusion scene of the late 1970’s however it was the release of the 1980 Album Give Me The Night, produced by Quincy Jones that rocketed him to worldwide fame.

37 years on and George Benson has produced countless hits, won 10 Grammy awards and continues tour regualy. While he is best known for his commercial releases, Benson has never forgotten his jazz roots and is often spotted in the New York Jazz clubs with musicians such as Joshua Redman and Roy Hargrove. Recently he marked his 40thanniversary together with Ibanez who created a limited run of his signature guitars for the occasion “GB Signature Models”.
