Carl Hyde’s world of fantastical photos…

Written by | Editors Choice, News, Photography, Podcasts

An insight into the London photographer’s world, originally from Essex, spending part of his life in Kent and then moving back to the Big Smoke, where, “If you take 365 days in my world, break it down to 174 images. It’s not all I’ve taken, It’s just a snap shot of what it’s like to be me”, and so it is.  As quoted directly from Carl’s recently created YouTube link consisting of an amazing video depicting some of his work in just 174 works with music by Kamasi Washington to accompany the slideshow.

This guy has done well: truck-loads of passion, a penetrating and visionary eye, a love for music mixed with a very strong sense of dedication are some of the ingredients that make Carl Hyde’s work stand out so much.

Listen to Carl recount about his main influences, photographing jazz musicians, the world of the internet and copyrights problems and much more.

Erminia Yardley said about Carl’s photos…On a Jazz London Radio published interview.“Carl Hyde’s photographs exude musicality, freedom, beauty and a love for jazz. Being interested in photography myself, when I came across Carl’s pictures, I found them so refreshing.  There is humanity behind the glossy façade which makes them so much more than just photographs!”.
