The 7 Virtual Jazz Club is proud to announce the winners of the 2019 edition of the contest. A podium entirely of young talents

Pros & Amateurs’ Category

The jury prize for the best musician (€ 2,000 plus a live concert in the Jazz Club Ferrara – Italy) has been assigned to the French vibraphonist Simon Moullier who presented the song “Thriller – Workin Day & Night”. Second prize: French band Abraham Reunion for “No danger”. Third Prize: Swedish Tolvan Big Band for “Effortlessly”.

Under 25 students’ Category

The Jury prizes for the best Under 25 Students (€ 700 plus a proposal contract offered by (JazzMedia & More) has been assigned to the American trumpet player Evan Taylor which presented the song “Come On Over here”. Second prize Greek Nikos Chatzitsakos Tiny Big Band for “Tenderly”. Third Prize: Russian pianist Nikolai Mishchenko for “From day to day”.

The Taklit Publishing & Promotions agency gave the honourable mention to the Ukrainian Shekband because of the great talent of their members given their young age.

The 7 Virtual Jazz Club’s Team wants to thank all the contestants and the International jury that collaborated to this edition. For the final ranking, Nigel J. Farmer ( JazzInEurope) and Peter Slavid (broadcaster at Hayes FM), were added to the official judging panel.

7 Virtual Jazz Club is a non-profit all-volunteer association dedicated to the support of jazz music in all its forms. Our goal is to promote, through a virtual platform, top quality jazz performances and to discover new talents.
