The Mozaic Jazz Festival launches Friday 14 November.

One of the most exciting developments in the European jazz scene of the last few years is the numerous new jazz festivals coming online in the former east block. The latest is the Mozaic Jazz Festival in Sibiu (Romania), former European Capital of Culture for the year 2007. Located in the heart of the country in the old Transylvania region the city offers a variety of leisure opportunities, accommodation to suit all budgets and restaurants that will most tastes.

The Mozaic Jazz Festival features both on established international artists as well as Romanian artists. While not a huge festival, the six bands that will perform during the weekend provide for a varied program of high quality.

The festival kicks of on Friday the 14th of November and runs until Sunday the 16th. Concerts take place in the Casa de Cultura a Sindicatelor and tickets are available at the festival website. To book tickets click here.
