TJP | Peace and Love

Written by | Buy Direct, New Releases Page

It’s the perfect time to bring attention to the subjects of peace and love and that’s exactly what the Philadelphia-based band TJP (formerly known as The Jost Project) does with their new CD “PEACE AND LOVE”.  The band includes Tony Miceli-vibraphone, Paul Jost-vocal/harmonica, Kevin MacConnell-bass with Doug Hirlinger-drums and special guest Joel Frahm-saxophone.

Following up on their highly successful debut release “Can’t Find My Way Home”, TJP interprets the music of the 60s and 70s in a jazz format. In these tumultuous times, the band hopes the messages in their album will resonate, bringing back reminders of the hippie generation when dialogue and constructive action for peace and love took place everywhere.

Adding to the community spirit of the album, the vocal majors from Philadelphia Performing Arts, a String Theory Charter School, lend their young voices to the album on “Get Together” bringing a great sense of hope to the lyrics, “Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together …”
