On this new episode of the Jazz Spotlight Podcast I am thrilled to welcome on the show critically-acclaimed singer Zara McFarlane!

Zara arrived in Pori after performing in some of Europe’s leading summer jazz festival such as North Sea Jazz Festival and Gent Jazz Festival. I had the chance to chat with her after her show at Pori Jazz Festival, her first ever, and discussed a variety of things.

The topics of our conversation include how she got started with music, the inspirations behind her latest record If You Knew Her, the jazz singers she thinks everyone who would like to become a jazz vocalist should listen to and much more.

If you’re into vocals, you don’t want to miss this episode!
