Based in central Europe, the JazzNet247 Project has been helping the jazz genre and the musicians since its foundation in 1994 with our website project and with our radio shows since 1999. Although they play most of the popular stars of the jazz genre, they especially showcase the music of the indie artists and labels whose music doesn’t always get the recognition that it deserves.

Their marquee show STREETJAZZ offers an alternative menu of Smooth, Vocal and Brazilian Jazz each week and is available via the host broadcaster LIVE365.com or commercial free via their own website at www.JazzNet247.com where you can find 5 other bonus shows all available on demand.

STREETJAZZ plays the week’s newest releases, the highest chart climbers from the Groove Jazz and the Radio Wave Charts which we contribute to, and the cream of the indie artist submissions.

We asked Wes Gillespie, (Producer of STREETJAZZ) to write a few words about Jazznet247.

“We are pleased to say that our station has topped our National Internet RN Jazz Charts for more than two years. A recent survey has indicated that more than half of our global listeners do not speak the English language as a first language so we have developed a new format for our shows for 2013 which has fewer voice overs and more information about the Artists, Songs and Albums via the new Widget Players. This has been very well received by our growing listener base worldwide.

Other shows on JazzNet247 Radio include The StreetJazz Vaults, Dreams Of Rio, our cult Brazilian show which was chosen for the Brazilian World Music Day by the Columbia University in 2012, our mainstream jazz show Connoisseur Jazz, Dinner Jazz and our TIME OUT show which is presented by celebrity musicians themselves showcasing some of their new material and some of their favourite tracks.

We invite you to JazzNet247 Radio and our shows which may introduce you to some new artists and music, the ethos of the station has always been to help support the jazz gene and the musicians who keep this great art form alive. “
